Since no ones answering my other thread I decided to make it with a title you cant resist. I was riding my 200x when it just died. I checked for spark and got nothing. When i put the engine switch on "off" it'll give me one good spark and stop. When i put it in "on" no spark. Does it sound like the kill switch went out? I recently put a new exciter coil on my 200 so I know its not that. Before it died, it ran great, so i dont know what happened. Help please...

unplug the switch and see if it runs. it kills the engine by grounding the ignition system out

Just follow your wires that come from your kill switch all the way down to where they plug in. Unplug the whole thing.

I had the same thing happening to me on one of my bikes I resurrected. I could sit there and flip the switch back and forth and as it went off I got one good spark. Turned out I had something grounded that shouldn't have been grounded.
I would look for shorts or a wire that shouldn't be grounded, maybe is rubbing against the frame or something.

check the advancer on the cam shaft. It is possible the bolt cam eloose or the pin sheared.
