Bad coil?

so i was out driving my tri-z today and then it died. So I try to start it up but nothing, anyways i got frustrated cause i had no fire so i chilled out for a while and went back to it and it fired up no problem. i was about an hour away from home so i started heading back and about 2 mins from my house it started bogging like it was going to die but then come right back to life and then bog out again. so my question is before i start taking stuff apart can some one tell me what the exact problem is?
