why would a 83-84 200x not shift into first gear?

because it's already in first gear?

is this one of those, you can't put an elephant in a refrigerator because you never took the giraffe out in the first place questions?

bad shift drum, shift forks, gears could be shot, gonna have to crack that puppy open and investigate i would say. could be a multiple of reasons. clutch, clutch cable, shift shaft, etc.....

alright douch bag, I have had a 1984 200x that did not like to shift into 1st then into second...


secondly I was looking at a 200x on craigs and it had a shifting problem of not wanting to go into 1st gear.
