Are they the proper o-rings? If they're the proper, flat profile, o-rings, they should slide through the carrier without getting slide off. I always put a light coat of grease on the inside of the swingarm's carrier portion, as well as the outside of the carrier itself to help with reinstallation. It seems like I've also had to slightly pry open the clamping area of the swingarm a few times, as each o-ring nears those areas. I hope this helps.

they are the flat kind, I tried the lube but didn't try to open it up any, I'll try that and see what happens. Thanks

you do know that you dont need them...right?

aftermarket carriers dont use them and they work just fine
