cdi i dont believe we can test, coil is easy you ohm it out with a digital ohm meter and see if its within specs. i dont have a book here with me but i could look up the resistance numbers for you if youd like sunday night. just let me know. the stator could be bad i believe you can ohm that out too.

When i got the trike the guy gave me a stator that he recently bought on ebay and said it was good. I put it on, and it fits and everything, but it might not be on right. Would that cause it not to work? Can someone post some pics of how it should look when installed?

I dont have a digital ohm meter. Is there something else I could use? When I hooked the stator up, I Use a light tester on the 2 wires and no light came. Do light testers work on stators?

A test light wont work. You can pick up a cheap ohm meter at Walmart by the automotive light bulb for $10. PM me your email and i'll send you a few pages from the manual.
