cr480 swop

i am looking into the cr 480 swop into my 83 r i posted this in the Mad Scientists Lair but knowone is answering under bigbore's post. how fast is the 480 motor would it beet a liquid cooled r's ?? are they reliable? i dont know much about the 480 motor or should i just stick with my 83 250 motor

i had an 82 250r with an 81 cr450 motor in it, the 450 and 480 motors are the same, there just different years, it is definatly worth putting in, and it will definatly waste the liquid r, and the 250r motors are the same the only difference is the chassis, pretty much the same kind of swap as we had.

What pipe did you guys use or what did you do to make it fit. My conversion for the '82 480 is swap is done, just working on the pipe fitment issues.

ya, it wasn' that long ago probly like 5 or so years ago, im sure it was a stock exhaust on there
