Okay I was looking for a replacement plastic tank for my 110 and on ebay I see tanks for 79-83 110's and 83-85 110's and 84-85 110's so which one do I need? I have an 83 but the 83-85 or 84-85 tanks look correct because the way the seat sits. Do the 79's and 83's use different tanks? Is it a mistake in the listing? I'm quite confused at this point. TIA.

Okay, thanks. I thought so but I thought I would check. $200 for a plastic tank or $50 for a Kreem kit to treat the rust in my OEM one. I think I'll Kreem coat this one.

If you don't get all the loose rust, the kream kit will never work. Be throough in getting as much rust out as you can. Some people put pebbles in their tank and shake them around pretty good to get as much big loose rust as possible.

Yea, I use nuts and bolts since they have a more jagged edge. I also use kerosene with the nuts and bolts to loosen it all up. I've done tanks in the past with just the nuts and bolts and kerosene and then an inline fuel filter. Kreem coating it will be an extra step on this one.
