Got a friend who want to sell his 350x, i think its like an 85 or 87 runs good but needs a front caliper and maybe a carb as it drips gas. Plastic is ok. It also comes with a spare 350x almost complete plastic not as good. He wants $1500 for both. Is it worth it?

Its probably not a '87. If its red is a '85, white is a '86. I'd say 1500 is a good price for both. Do they both run or just the one? I'd be interested in the motor out of the parts bike. Where do you live?

One runs good, we took it to sand lake a few weeks ago, and the only problem was that the front brake would not back off. Every time he used it it would stay applied for a while and would get too hot. It actually kept up with my banshee pretty good. The other one supposedly has a fresh engine, but something happend to it and they stopped using it, not sure what the problem is.Here is a picture of one of them. They are identicle though.http://www.sweetquads.com/images/campsite.jpg

The sand lake by Portland?? If so you are in WA or OR, where exactly??
If the second one is mostly complete, then $1500 is a fair price. IMHO

I am in Tacoma, Wa.
The second one is not complete, and is not running. Some parts have been stolen to make the other one work.

From the picture, that is a 85. They could be worth $1500, but with the brake having problems, how many other things are about to need work? In the end, things are worth what someone will pay for them.

Compared to the other sand in Oregon, Sand Lakes is closer to Portland.

O well thats becuz of all the dunes there have been so many crashes at sand lake. THe flags just dont cut it because the dunes are so big. There have been many injuries and many bikes and atv's and atc's that have been totaled there!!!!

In my opinion you need more experiance to ride in the trails than at the dunes. The dunes are very forgiving, rocks and stumps are not!

It's ezier to crash on the dunes then it is on the trails. Even though sand is a lot better to crash on the dirt and rocks etc it still hurts and u can still get hurt lol.

Pull the petcock and clean it with carb cleaner......Flush the tank with gas...If there is water, flush with Mek.....And even tho sand lake is like 2 hours away from Portland, It is the closest of the riding (SAND) area's to Portland. And yes you are correct Tillamook is closer then Portland...Sand lake is very very crowded and in comparison to other riding area's (sand) is smaller, therefore makin for more chances of injuries....
$1500 Seems to be a good deal depending on whats wrong.....
