Just wondering what they are going for in the midwest and east coast. I might use the info to finance a trip back east.

i missed an 86 that went for 950. Only one i have heard of here.
Here in Ohoho, you can find a hammered pile that runs for as little as 200 bucks.
But they need everything but a new set of lugnuts.
A decent rider can be found for 900 -1200.May need some cosmetics, and tires and maintenance stuff.
Mint ones almost all OEM low hour ones,I have seen anywhere from $1800 to $4000 depending on how mint they are.
Here in Texas you can pick them up cheap if you can find them. I paid $150 for my 85. They usaully advertise for alot of $$$$ but they never get it. Then price will keep dropping until it is finally sold. The A/C R's seem to hold there value well around here for some reason. there is really no place to ride a 3 wheeler around here unless you have some private land. Everyone is either into MX or mudding. They will not allow the three wheelers on the track and you sure as hell dont want to take one to crosby ( i tried, tried, tried, even spent many hours building a three wheeler for it, it isnt happening ). So, keep an eye out in the houston area. They pop up every once in a while. I would say the average for a decent 85/86 R would be $800. If you watch closely you could easily get a decent one for less.

Here in New England. I paid 1k for my 85 250r Rider with at the time, a newly rebuild motor - top and bottom, cracked plastics and a slipping kicker. Fixed the kicker and cosmetics and little things for about 600 more....
Also paid 1700 for my "Show" 85 R which came with all brand new OEM plastics and fresh set of Ohtsu tires. I put another 1500 (powder, blah blah) into it to make it a near perfect example...

1000$ to 2500$ around here in the Northeast for a good runner, any less gets you a broken case, tired motor, bald tires and the rest of it is worn and beat to death.......
Ones listed as "MINT" are looking for 2500$ to 3500$

Hey Rex, I figured the West coast had the best prices by far. This is from all the craigslist and ebay adds Ive seen.
In my area you pay $1500 for a rider, and over 2 g's for something really nice.
From the amount of adds Ive seen posted from the west coast, I figure you'd have the best prices out of all of us.
What are they going for around you?

I paid $1800 for my first (and best) which is pretty tricked out for Me. My next 3 were $775 (Rough '85 which runs very strong), $600 (Primo stock '82) and $1000 (Very Clean '86). I'm going to get an '85 tomorrow for $700. Rough , but a runner and all there....
The idea was that I could trailer a few up, trip on out East, and sell them to finance the whole thing. Not so sure, though. Especially with everyone panicking over the price of gas, etc...
