I really like the look of the white plastics, as seen here on this 86:

Wont work, its been discussed before. You could cut the plastics and it might work, but the tank and seat wont line up.

Maier sells white fenders for his year. Bolts right on ;)

I too like the look of the 86+ white fenders. I have a 85 I think I might upgrade the plastics to white aswell.

If you're talking about putting the '86/87 plastics on yours then yes, it'll work, but it takes a little creativity.
I had a thread saved on .org where somone did it, but it's gone now. I'll try to find the pics again.
If I remember correctly he had to modify the area where the seat latch is, and trim a little bit here and there but it turned out pretty nicely.

Just buy Maier rears for the '83 - '85 200x in white, and if it were me I'd buy a Maier '85-'86 250R front fender in white and use it instead of the '200 front fender. The nice thing is it bolts right on.

Oh... and I'd finish it off with a Hi-flite seat cover in blue.
