My ride is a 200s. Somehow i stripped the shaft for my front sprocket. Its a 45 min walk from civilization. DOes anyone have any ideas on how to mickey mouse it enough to get it out of the woods? I don't even care if it will carry me as long as it will haul itself along. The only idea im having is to maybe drill a hole betewwn the shaft and sprocket in a few places and beat in some nails or something...any ideas would help...i dont like leaving my baby in the woods overnight but its too far to push.

Probably best if you can find a buddy with another trike (or unfortunately, a quad) to pull it back to civilization and then try to repair it instead of trying to patch it up and potentially doing even more damage.

Ok so i finally got her out of the woods. Here's how: I went and bought some longer 6 mm bolts and some lockwashers. I took an extra sprocket retainer (the thing with 3 holes) and put both on with longer bolts and washers. This pushed the sprocket closer to the crank case and onto part of the shaft that wasnt chewed to dog sh!t. It carried me out of the woods under her own power. Im not so sure how much damage it did to the chain but im just happy to have it out. Do any of you guys have any ideas on a more permanent fix now that i have access to tools?

I use to have a ytm 200 Trike. Almost the same thing happened to me but was right at my house. I could still make out where the splines were on the shaft. The tym used the honda way with the clip, This too was mangled. So I grabed a jug of water and my welder and welded new splined back on. The water was to keep the sprocket seal from burning off. Worked mint and ill bet it is still going.

could take that shaft to a welding shop and have them weld it round and grind it correct again?
