Well the 350x is up and rolling. set the motor in but still waiting for the stainless steel hareware to bolt all the stuff up, She's getting red plastic and a white clarke tank, and gecko paddle tires on 10 inch ITP wheels. also a supertrap exhaust. and a blue ceet cover. I also bought a new headlight for it. Its really starting to add up in cost! But she should look real nice when I'm done. I'm also going to install a 4 inch swingarm on there if my buddy ever finishes his 86 250r and builds it for me. :D

Well I bought the paddles for it today with ITP wheels, They look good! I also put the Supertrap on my other x and ordered the DG Eccellerator exhaust for the project bike. I also put a new seat and scoops on my other 350x. I guess the rear bearings are getting loose on that bike. Looks like another after work job. I also put some Kenda Klaws on ITP wheels on last weekend.

Hey Blazer I came by today and rang the door bell and nobody answered. I put the Bolts under the driver side wiper on the truck. The guy gave me 5 cause that is how they come from the wharehouse. I wanted to know if you can get me some info on that guy who powder coated your frame. I would like to get the R done. I have a friend that powder coats and he said he would do it for $150 that sounds kinda steep when he charges 100 to do 4 car wheels. I also noticed that the rear nuts have not come apart after I put a pipe wrench on it and torqued it down. I took it to SL on thursday of last week and went through like 2 tanks and the nuts did not come apart. My next project will be to clean it up and get the frame coated and start replacing some of the old parts.

Well, I've messed with it a little been real busy lately, I've tried to polish one thing a night on it this week, Hopefully It will be done by the end of summer, My girls helped me on it last weekend to get the motor bolted in. I'll add a couple pics here later. Went up camping last night camped up on the end of a skid road and was awakened up by bikes, turns out they were having a poker run up there with about 150 bikes, and they kept making the wrong turn and coming down to camp. it was fun though we B.S'ed with them for a while. We ended up having lunch with them down by the lake where we moored our boat, I wish we could get a atc club here started, there were a ton of bikes there.

Hey thats cool, makes up for my lack of! :D I just bought a damn golfcart today a 250 Trailboss I think its a 95. I can't get it to run right, I just pulled the lid on the airbox and it seems to run okay, clogged filter maybe?

JayP
07-13-2003, 09:34 PM
That would be my first guess. Or maybe the air inlet to the box is clogged.

BLAZERONE22
07-13-2003, 10:54 PM
Okay here's a few pics, I'll include one of the cart I bought today. Sorry!

BLAZERONE22

JayP
07-13-2003, 11:14 PM
Those sure look good. If I get a trail boss I will have an identical collection. I have a friend with a TB like that and it has lasted FOREVER without the slightest trouble, so i'd say it was a good buy.

07-14-2003, 09:56 PM
hey wut size rims and tires on that last pic from the rear of the white 350x? and did u buy new OEM honda fork boots for your other project? they look great!

BLAZERONE22
07-14-2003, 10:10 PM
Their 20X11X10 ITP wheels and kenda tires yeah on the fork boots, got them at service honda for 43 bucks, way cheaper than the dealer. I had to pay the 8 bucks shipping anyway for some other parts

AirManCam
07-15-2003, 10:37 AM
where did u get this 350x???

BLAZERONE22
07-15-2003, 06:49 PM
Here locally, I traded a 200x for it, I cleaned it up a little I'll post apic of what it looked like when I got it.

kilabeez0
07-15-2003, 09:12 PM
I'm restoring my 200x and I have a bench grinder. I would like to polish my forks rather than paint. What attachment do u use for polishing? Wire wheel?

BLAZERONE22
07-15-2003, 09:44 PM
I powdercoated everything on this bike, to polish what works good for me and I used to use a buffing wheel, but now I'll take it and sandblast the part, then they have these wheels, I forget the name of them, but they come in different colors their like a wire wheel, anyway I have a orange and a blue one, the orange one gets it kinda shining and then I use the blue one and that smooths everything out. then I use Heavy metal Polish. its 12 bucks a bottle but it great stuff, I use the green on there first on a buffing wheel and then the blue. shines it up quick! This system seems to be the quickest for me. And with the best results.

If you dont have any power tools here is another way, I used 320 grit (to get off the real bad or rough spots) to wet sand my forks and then used turtle wax polishing compound. Use an old t-shirt and rub some one gently until it turns black and then wipe it off and repeat, repeat, repeat. I found that rubbing real hard with the darkened compound does not help, it is best to let the compound do the work and when it turns dark wipe it off and start again.

I also found that a 3M scotch brite pad is a good replacement for the wet sanding if the part is just diry and corroded with no rough spots.
