I've just bought a 1985 big red, Its running good and pulls strong and I'm really happy with it, I'm in the uk and I've paid £425 including delivery (£50) I think thats about $850. Let me know what you think.

I've been looking through pictures online and I haven't seen any others with a kickstart, what years had the kickstart fitted?

Does anyone know where I can download a manual for it. Thanks.

I have a 85 BR that has kick start and electric. I think all of the ones sold in the states had both. Look further down in the posts and you will see a thread for downloading manuals

All the 250ES's had kick back-up.

Good looking Red.

Has anyone got a good seat with no damage that they would be willing to ship to the uk?

Not a bad looking big red at all. I see you are missing the infamous right side panel. I guess everyone removes that one to use the kick starter and loose it or something. I also see you have the hondaline rear mudflaps.

Whereabouts are you? If you've got the seat base and foam it's not impossible to re-cover it yourself. I don't know if it shows very well on my avatar but thats one I did.

I'm in chesterfield, Derbyshire, Its got a seat on it under the white cover but the foam is all chewed up,

The mudflaps are just truck ones that have been modified to fit.

Oh ok, they looked like the hondaline ones from that view. How hard is it to ship something that size to the UK? I know shipping here locally in the states is starting to get stupid due to the "gas" prices.

I have no idea how much it would cost, I know a lad who has all sort sent over, things like wheels and engines so the prices can't be too bad.

Well I am always willing to help a fellow trike mate but just didnt want you to have to pay stupid high costs in the shipping part.

Negative on that, I dont have one. But I am willing to help if you find one in the US. Also that gasket should work for your model big red.
