i got a 83 atc200 but the idle is bad it kinda revs high i looked for air leaks and tried to adjust the idle and it dint help now im thinking the air/fuel screw is not adjusted right but the the screw i thought that was it, whenever you try to turn it gas comes out of the bottom of the float bowl so could some one help me and out and help me locate the right screw. the one i turned was under the idle screw

Your probably turning the drain screw, when you unscrew that on fuel is supposto come out. Give the air screw 1/2 turn in and see what happens.

the air screw is on the bottom of the carb you need a short flat head to turn it adjust it in small increments and see what happens...

what about the cable tensioner adjustment screw on top? if it's too tight it would do the same as the carb would act liek it's always being held at a slightly open position i would think.

also what about the throttle stop? is there a screw to adjust that? the #9 screw should adjsut the idle itself.

also the needle needs to be setup correctly or you will expirence weird issues when accelerating at low throttle.
