Just curious if there is a difference in corresponding years of tri-z shocks. I am in the process of rebuilding a 85 shock and need a bump stopper for the shocks shaft. I looked up the part number for the 85 bump stopper and its discontinued. However the 86 rubber bump stopper is not. I ordered the 86 bump stopper on a wilm. I will let you all know if its compatible.

I believe the difference is in overall length... I think the shafting is the same diameter, I believe the 86 bummper will work just fine.

So the 86 bumper stop indeed worked quite nicely. Is it possible that someone could measure the hole in the shock eyelets on either end for me? I have all brand new OEM bolts and they dont fit in the eyelets. Its like someone swapped out the bearings in there for smaller ones. I dont freaking get it. Im just going to order new bearings and hope thats the case.
