Hey all, just wondering if anyone has ever come across / heard about brand new ATC's still being found in their shipping crates? When was one last 'discovered'? Or is this the stuff of urban legend and never again will one be found brand new??

Thats ironic cos I bought my 70 in Wales - its not new but not far off!

Here in TN they found an 87 200x brand new still in the crate. They had a fire in the end of 1987 and moved 90% of their undamaged stock in to this huge warehouse. After rebuilding the shop, they moved only 1/2 the stock back and left the rest for later. Since then, they had constantly filled the warehouse with stock and forgot about a few items. In 2001 they found this crate under tons of "junk". Come to find out it was a brand new 87 200x. It was sold later that month for 3500$ to an unknown collector. And YES they could still sell the trike off the showroom, but as a "used" vehicle. It was pretty cool for sure.

85 or 86 R was just cold out of Jersey still in the crate last year. The stuff is still out there!!! I found my Tiger 250 at the original dealers shop last year. Not in the crate but never sold and just stored around as a "demo" click link in sig for more info.

AWESOME to hear that brand new trikes are still being found guys, I'd give my left testicle for a brand new '85-'87 250ES big red and a brand new '85 70 - theres basically zero chance of finding them here in the UK, you guys don't know how lucky you are, the big reds I see on the US ebay site have me drooling cos theyre so clean and well kept! If I lived there I'd spend every penny I earn on trikes lol. Well if anyone comes across a split new one of the above please let me know, thanks lads

Hey Ulster,

Am with you on this one, the trikes across the pond are far superior to the used stuff available in the UK. Plus they have the land to ride them on!.......

I would be really interested in a crated 85 ATC 70 or even a mint one especially in blue:naughty: ,,,,,as would Pete am sure:D :D

Hey goat, This might be a rumor but I heard a guy in your state by the name of gonzales has quit a few old bikes and trikes still in crates. I think at one point he had maybe still has a dealership around N.O.

Aye its just about impossible to find mint trikes over here, don't know what it is but people in the States just seem to look after things much better. Like I say one look at ebay in the US and theres loads of really nice clean trikes, the UK site has half a dozen clapped out dung-heaps. The exception being my 70 (heres a pic) which miraculously turned up on ebay one day, how often do you see them on UK ebay in this condition? Once in a blue moon (and it cost me £350 thats $700 for our American buddies). Tell you what, you yanks have it good - cheap houses, cheaper fuel than us and superb TRIKES. God Bless the USA :TrikesOwn

I'd sell my soul before I'd sell that trike, its a true 'keeper' - no idea about clubatc, don't think I've been on that one. So how comes your on line, not skiving off in work are you?? I am lol

Well Wad emailed me earlier an said the site'll be back up by the end of the week. I remember in '97 there being 2 BRAND NEW Tri-z's over my uncles garage, got them at some car auction or something. wasnt really old enough to appreciate them then, but they were sure shiney!
