Have a 1985 200s, once warm it has a slight hicup just off idle when I start to accelerate. I have cleaned the carb and its spotless inside. Have adjusted the mixture screw too with no change. I bought a dratv carb kit and will install this sunday, hopes this helps.

Just installed the rebuild kit with new jets and seals, no dirt anywhere in the carb. Still has the same off idle hicup. Needle is in the middle setting, think I will play around with the needle setting alittle.

try moving the needle clip down a notch and adjusting the mixture screw. also check the valve adjustment

When I first got it running it made a ticking noise. I removed the exhaust valve inspection cap and could move the rocker up and down. I adjusted that one first and started it up, that made it quite like it should be. The intake was in spec. Next day off is Sunday so I think a couple hours playing with the needle and adjustment screw should do me well.

Richen up the adjustment on the needle. That means drop the clip and adjust the air screw until it goes away. My YTM-200 did the same thine. It would cough through the carb just after take off or riding slow around the yard at low rpm. Like it was lean popping.
