I know the axles are different but does anyone know if the sprocket hub is the same on an 85 & 86 250r? Or if an 85 will work on an 86 axle. I oringinaly assumed no but lsr lists their hub for 85-89 lsr or stock axles so my new assumption is yes. I have an 86+ lsr axle that has sprocket hub play so I was wanting to put my stock 85 hub on it if it will work.

As far as I know, The LSR axle requires the use of the matching LSR hub.
No other sprocket hub will work on the LSR aftermarket axle.Altough,I am not sure about a stock hub fitting on the LSR axle.Never checked into that.
I just went thru this with parts I ordered for our friends 86 250R.
We ordered a Durablue sprocket hub for his LSR and it did not work.Splines were way different.
Mosh, said he has seen a few guys try to press the stock sprocket hubs off,and everyone he has seen has been a little hairy.Took a lot of pressure to get them off,so it may not be re- useable by time they press the stocker off.
Edit,it is a press to fit hub also. You will have to go to someone with a press to fit it on.

Thanks- not sure if it will work either. I know the dura blue says for dura blue axles only but the lsr says for lsr or stock axles so I figured if the lsr hub works on the stock axle then the stock hub may work on the lsr axle- but thats just an assuption. My 85 axle is at a buddy's 2hrs away so no way to try it out right now- wanted to see if anyone has tried this before I shell out the dogh for a new hub.

as far as i know lsr used stock splines and dura blue use there own splines.
i think youll be fine but i would call them and see if they offer a steel hub first...i know dura blue offers one
