Hey everyone
Thank you all for the warm welcome back in my last couple of posts! As an update, I have ordered a complete flywheel/stator from Ricky Stator and now I've got to find a flywheel puller. My local Kawasaki dealer didnt have one! I also have to figure out that front brake problem on the Tecate. (see prior post) Then I ordered a chain/sprocket set for the R (from Rocky Mountain) and the more I look at it, the more I think I need to go ahead and pull it apart and replace the bearings. Honestly, this should have been done YEARS ago! I have never broken down a rear axle before. I have the manual and it doesnt look too hard. Are there any sticky areas or tricks I need to know before I dive in there?

Thanks!

Glad to hear it man. Nothing really tricky about the axle other than it's time consuming. The biggest problem you're going to face is just getting everything to break loose after sitting so long. Good luck.

Automotive type three prong puller will work. Local parts place should have one. Be careful not to thread bolts into the flywheel too far or it will destroy the magnets.

Glad your back into this stuff.
