I just ordered some Vampire TSL mud tires for the back of my Big Red. I have a Chinese "wooley booger" type tire on the back currently, but didn't like the traction, got stuck in light mud last night!!!

Anyway, would one of those 25x13-9 tires work ok as a front tire? I have a 25x12-9 knobby right now. Someone told me a v-tread is not a very good steering tire.

Go to your Honda dealer and order the factory front tire for a '85-87 Big Red right from Honda. $60-$70 and guaranteed to fit. Nothing beats factory tires!

Theres a good chance that the 25x13-9 will rub on the front forks ocassionally because it is too wide. If you had to run it as a front, it might be ok as long as you put a little more pressure in it. If the knobby is still in good shape your probably best off with it.
