I finally got to ride my 85 250r up at silver lake on may 10 and i ended up blowing out a base gasket :eek: i just got around to tearing it apart a few days ago and it goes deeper than the base gasket i think. it had barely any antifreeze come out of the drain because the rest of it is in the gear oil :rolleyes: I have the base gaskets on the way and thats not a problem to change, my question is, why is there antifreeze in the tranny oil? could it be that little seal inside the water pump? if so how do you rebuild the water pump/ replace that seal? i pulled the head gasket off and it doesnt have anywhere where it looks to be blown. i got 4 days to have this thing back in the frame and running good.
