400EX carrier in a 250R???

Anybody know if you can use a 400EX carrier in a 250R? My buddy just bought a new billet one with double wide bearings, and it looks just about like the one in my R, and as far as I can tell it looks like it would work....anybody know for sure though?

It will fit right In with no Issues. As long as the R Is a 86.
