Hello people. I just bought an 86 350x and its in awsome shape. Picked it up for 1500 Canadian. Runs awsome and performs the same. The only thing is that it has two minor things wrong and i want your opinions. First of all, the lights dont work. I looked at the wiring diagram and i can follow that if necessary, but i just was wondering if there is maybe a common problem with these lights or where exactly the fuses are on them. The second thing is when you start the bike and are reving it up or even driving it, there is a noise kind of like a Tin Rattling noise comming from the right front of the engine area. It sounds like maybe something from the exhaust but i cant pinpoint it. There is no heat shield on the pipe so i know thats not it. Any ideas. Thanks in advance for the ideas guys. MAN this bike is insane though.

Honda's will make a ton of valve chatter if they need adjusted, and my 85 200x sounded like it was falling apart when i ran anything lower than 93 octane. I think some fresh high test gas may do the trick. And dont forget if your local station only has one hose for the 87/89/93 then pump about 2 gallons of the 93 into your vehicle before adding any to the 3 wheeler or you might as well buy the 87...

i was wondering if anyone else did that i58829...it's a complete crock if you ask me.'
as for your valves needing adjusting...pray your rocker arms aren't worn or the lobes of your cam.
try to adjust, if the sound keeps going, you may need to pop the top off and see if things are worn...you'll be able to see.

Yea man one time my cousin was out riding with me, he has a banshee and it was running terrible. Turns out he forgot to drain the hose at the pump (so yes you pay for 2 gallons of cheap stuff when you buy 93). We ended up basically wasting 5 gallons of gas and 3 or 4 bucks worth of yamalube, live and learn, TC...

Ive had the worst luck with the 350X I have 3 complete engines that need top ends
If your lucky it will just be a valve adj.and worse case scenario would be what the goat said unfortunately thats my problems the people that had all 3 of my big Xs
either put the oil filter in backwards and starved the top end of oil ,or just plain run it without oil, or oil pump failure I think its doubtful for oil pump failure .

check the decompression cable to make sure it isn't sticking, that'll cause one heck of a rattle. Then look at the simple stuff first like a loose head pipe. As for the lights start by checking the bulbs, if the taillight burns the headlights should also
