Had the digi camera around today, so I thought I would shoot a few stills of the X. It's pretty dirty from running the buffer a lot this week.

The grab bar is a PRM Desert model that I ordered from PRM for $51. I love it!

The red plastic on the right rear tire is a new fender for my ATC70 that I picked up.

Ok, I felt bad about leaving her covered in dust, so I cleaned her up and bolted on the swingarm skid plate and my fast trekkers. Man I love those tires! I am currently working on the DG tailpipe, it got sick.

By the way, this is my garage. Currently I have a 1972 Honda CB350-Four, (in the background) 1985 ATC 350X, and a 1985 ATC 70 (fenders sitting around)

Lookin' sharp!! :-D Hey, why'd you turn the Fast Trekkers around from the way you had them? Just wondering...

Did you happen to pick up the pics from our Silver Lake trip?

Very nice Joel, I am shooting for a similar outcome, but I can't match the polishing. You must spend hours at that buffer I see in the background!

I like that rear caliper link too, is that custom made?

How about selling me that nice 350X seat in the pic??!!

@ Jordan:

I just unbolted the realtors and threw the trekkers on the first way they lined up! :) They run good either way, tried them both ways at the Badlands. Wife is picking up pics today, should have them scanned and posted tomorrow.

@ JayP:

I would guess I have somewhere around 15 hours on the buffer after tonight. I just got done polishing the header. Notice in the pictures it is really blue. The blue came from running hot before the rebuild. After the rebuild, the engine is running right-on as far as jetting and temperature, so I should not have any problems with bluing and more. I will post a pic of the header before and after later.

The caliper link is custom made. I simply grabbed a piece of 0.25" x 1" x ~9" and drilled the right holes in it. I made a spacer out of 1" aluminum bar stock to get it all lined up right. I also polished the link and it functions great. The link was necessary because I extended the swingarm 2.75".

No, I will not sell you the seat. :D I am keeping it around, because I can run my old red plastics by only unbolting the front and swapping them out. I want to keep the old plastics around for the nasty Haspin runs where limbs and such are prevelent.

where did you get the skid plate that goes up under the swingarm? Thanks

The skid plate is custom made by myself. I have a power point presentation if you would like to see how to make one yourself. Send me a PM with your e-mail address.

are those 18x10 trekkers? i'm trying to decide what rims i will eventually put on my tiger, but i have 8x18 turf's on it now, i'de like something a little less 70cc looking on it. i really wish they made 20" spider tracs and Realtors.

Lookin' good Joel!! :-D Got the same grab bar on my sx. Also put 22x11x10 Trekkers on her. Great tires, but mine don't have the big center lug.Think they only came on 18" and 20" I've found when climbing the sandy hills at Badlands the Trekkers keep trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro end on top of ground, instead of digging holes when losing momentum, like the Mud-busters do. Still bring them with.....just in case I get the urge!!!

Gonna have to get our schedules together for run at Badlands!! ;)

Do you run that buffer on the fenders? They look pretty smooth and shiny.

thanks

The tires are 18 x 11 x 10, on 10" douglass 0.190s.

No, I do not run the buffer on my brand new fenders, they are shiny like that from the Maier factory now. Less than $200 for the set of them!

Looking good Al, can't wait to ride with you again!
