well ive only have about 6 hrs on the new top end and she seized up....i gues the h20 was comming out of the fwd head bolt....running down side next to the exhaust...didnt see it happen at all didnt stop for 2 hrs....and the damm light wasnt on at all....well take a look and see if it okay...

So the coolant was running down the outside of the cylinder and you ran it dry and then it seized? Or are you saying that it was burning coolant inside of the cylinder?

I'm sure if you throw a little money at it, it will be okay again. That cylinder is looking pretty rough.

Friggen Zs..... I swear only about 25% of Z owners are fortunate enough to be able to keep them running. DEEPA better hope he is in that percentage :lol:

What caused it? Bad head or head gasket?

looks to me like the piston was about to cold seze.. thoes marks on the piston on all 4 corners so to speak? thats from over reving it cold..Did you have the ring clearance checked? was it bored to that piston after the sleeve? and last of all are you reuseing your gaskets? also you might want to check your crank bearings and lower rod bearing..what gaskets are you useing?

marks just on the back side only....checked the ring clearence....it was bored too the new piston....brand new base gasket from sprock and new oem head gasket...lower rod are new...
