View Full Version : 250es Charging System?

Hey guys on my 250es Im not sure if the stator is gone or the battery is just buggered. If i put a battery on it (a known good one) and start the bike and put a multimeter on it. The battery reads like 13.65 volts. If the bike is off the battery reads 12 volts. If I take the battery off and just put the multimeter on the battery wires it reads like 1.78 volts. Is the stator working correctly or should it be pumping out more volts. The neutral light becomes brighter when the bike is revved up and no battery is connected.

I replaced the battery and it seems to be working fine now. I got a big battery that I had to literally jam into the box. It works good though. Thanks to everyone.
