Here is a picture of my was new piston. It had 205 ish psi when rebuilt.

I blew up my other top end the same way.
Except I changed my
stock reeds for V force 2 reed cage with grey backer"I was told these are junk?
Thought it was my crank so I sent it away and had a hot rod kit instaled.
I had my other cylinder resleeved and bored out to the max.
It is hard to believe that this pisture had This for compression.

The compresion tester reads in 50s.
So the bike ran great. No complaints until it just "blew"up. I was racing a 1980 km 100 kawasaki dirt bike or at least a bike anyway.

You need to run alitlle more clearance and the gap on those c-clips should be down

It worked great. I did what I was told to the cylinder. But what could have cause it?

Look at that picture again, it didn't work so great. Another thing to look at is port chamfer. You should also go through the carb on a 2-stroke anytime you do a top-end. Running lean is the #1 killer of 2-stroke's

I have not touched the carb at all. I did chamber both cylinders and they came up almost the same. Except the marks are on the front and back unstead of the sides. No Damage to the cylinder just some aluminum was welded to the piston.

Ever get tired of waiting for parts? I ordered my piston 2 months ago.
