cr250f motor ina 200x?

well ive ben toying with the idea of trying to put a more powerful motor in a 85 200x frame. I was leaning twards a 2 stroke b/c there small motors in general but the more i think about it i want a thumber x the small xr200 and the 250x motors wont cut it. so now i was thinking about a crf250 motor. they look small enough and they are said to have like 35 hp so that would probly be enough compared t the 15-16hp of the stock x. but i need to get a measurement of the hieght and the lenth of that motor to see if its even possible without major frame mods

Head to your local Honda dealer and measure it up.

I like the idea. Too bad the CRF250X bike motor would be an expensive one to get. That way you get lights, the easy button and a wide ratio transmission.

I have been thinking about this swap as well. The down side is where to mount the radiators. I have measured the engine for the 250 and I believe it will fit.

That would be a mean machine. One of the newer CRF250R engines that have the twin exhaust set up would look awesome in a 200X frame. If u decide to do it make sure u post up pictures I would like to see the result.
