Hey guys,

I need pics of either ESR/Duncan/ Custom or whatever you got intakes for your 250rs.

I wanna make my own.

Please list the materials and how you did it.

I ordered a 85 250r filter and its brand new, just doesnt match the one on casper right now. so instead of buying a new one I want to make one to make it work.

Thanks for your help!

I use a peice of 2 inch pvc and a 45 rubber elbo (I guess plumbing?) dunno if I have any pics, it was on my racer.

Well I bought the ESR kit but ended up not using the stainless piping. It just didnt fit right and was a pain to get it set up nicely. Here is my set up and one thing you have to know is you must bend up the tab for the air box or cut it off. I used a zip tie to ensure that it stays put.

Scott,

is that just a rubber rad hose with a coupel inch PVC pipe and a filter clamped on?

whats with the "cracks" in the black filter part on the white PVC pipe

Yes the "cracks" are slits that I cut into the rubber cuff to make it fit much better and to give it added support on the sides. I wanted the rubber part to go as far down around the pipe as possible to ensure a water tight and firm fitament.

I just use a regular old Uni airfilter with the outside coarse layer of foam removed and clamp it right onto my carb. You need one with a 64mm opening in the filter if its for a 39mm carb.

I had another one that was about twice the length of that one, and it worked fine but it got where it was tearing around the rubber so I took it off.

man you guys have it easy...lol

the hardest one iv had to do yet is on my 350rx with the cr500 rear shock setup....things get REAL tight.

i just went to napa and found the perfect size rad hose to fit my carb and that has bends in it so i could cut it up and make what i needed.

i just used exhaust tubing ( like a 1 1/2'' wide) inside the rad hose where cut it
