I need some help with my project: Is there an exhaust that fits besides DG and OEM stock, like a KX? What is the best carb holder to use with a clamp-on air filter? :wondering I want to point the carb to the open area left of the shock. Awesome website.:w00t:

a KX 250 or 500 boot from '88-'04 should get ya pointed to the left.. some people have gotten '85-'86 KX pipes to fit with minimal trouble.. try doing a search

you can go with a jemco. do a search on google or do one here as a matter of fact, and im sure you'll find the address, phone number, and email address. nice sectional cone pipes, come uncoated, bare metal, so you can do whatever you want to it. paint, chrome, jethot coat, etc. like 250 but takes a few weeks cuz they are custom made on a jig. not already made or made by machine. sweet pipes, its what im going with on my 86. you can use like a pro circiut pipe for a kx, but you have to mod the hanger i believe as well as the stinger end of the pipe. im also gonna be using a 38mm airstryker carb like on my 85 t3. and like cr says, the 88-04 intake boot off a kx 250-500 will work with the left aiming direction. good luck on the project and keep us posted on progress, pics pics pics.

I use a Boyesen Rad Valve for KX250 because I think it will hold up better, but I also use a kx250 boot that is rotted and about to go.

I agree with using the excellent Keihin Air Striker carb with a Honda thumb throttle and Motion-Pro custom cable. On the pipe, I am considering an outside-the-frame but I want all-around power and sound levels. I will post pics showing some frame welding I did.
