I am still trying to rebuild a '85 BR and have completely disassembled the trike and painted nuts ,bolts, washers, etc,... I'm now trying to put it all back and needless to say, I should have been drawing diagrams or taking pics as I took it off. After placing the engine back on the frame, I noticed the carb vent hoses I had taken off, all lying on the bench and I have no recall of how they were connected . I have read somewhere here that all the tubes connecting together meant it was for cold start. (?) Having said all that, my question here is ...is there a diagram of carb. vent hoses and if so where could I find it ? Also crankcase vent hoses have me stumped. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Doug , Leakesville, MS:wondering

Thank you , Honda250sx, that is mostly what I was looking for. It's exactly what I have lying on my work bench. I couldn't get a full size picture and now trying to figure out where that clip mounted with the 2 hose holders. Thanks again.

the clip should mount to one of the screws holding the float bowl on

Thanks, Indy650, I'll try putting this back together tommorow. Do you have any idea about the crankcase vent hose also ? The hose has a 'T' connector in it and I can't recall what the 2 ends off the 'T' connect to. Thanks again, Indy.

Hey bra,
If you need a factory service manual, go to this site http://www.drivehq.com/file/ShowFolder.aspx?G=1&shareID=233462 and download the ones you need. They are in PDF format so you need to download Adobe Reader 8.0 or newer. This should help you out alot.........peace

the crankcase hoses are just vents so if you dont remember just route them so they are in a place that wont suck up any dirt

I will send you a pm with a picture. Tried to send it here but said it was an invalid file. I scanned the page from my manual. It is from a ES but I think the SX is the same.

I think I got it right this time. I took the picture with my camera instead of scanning it. The picture is of the ES but I think it is the same as the SX

Just so you know, the one jet is the whole solution. If you have the kit, use it. But all the venting is just an extra and a giveaway of an 86/87 Keihin 08 model improved carb with a threaded in pilot jet.

Thank you, Scott, for the service manual download info. I have dial-up and 22 hour download is one I'll have to do when I find someone with DSL or other high speed service. Thanks again, I know it would be helpful.:beer
