got is super cheapo, its all there, plastic is adios' but oh welll, this is one of the few hondas ive never messed with, deffinitly is light years ahead of the older style 125m I can tell you that much, looks fun. They said the carb was leaking bad, so they had it off, everything is there though, going in a few mins to F with it to see if it works, the good thing, if it dosnt, he said keep it for free! what are these things worth? here are a few sample pics, also I'll trade some tank work if someone has some decent plastics for it.:naughty:

Syko those are pretty sought after i would fix the seat and make her a runner. Probably worth $900-$1000 to the right person if you take the time to clean her up nice.

ok... so I went outside and looked at the carb.....JUNK....unusable, so... hmm....what do I have that might fit... how about a 200s carb? no? YES! it fits, a bit big, cant hook up a air filter, but this is just so I can see if this beast runs.

so I get it to crank after about 5 pulls, it slowly starts to run and then....Idles.... YES! I can smell the gas! but its idling, and the lights work!! WOOT!

after a ride, clicks all through the gears clutch slips a bit, im sure a bit of adjustment will fix it and some fresh oil and filter will do it good as well.

so I tool around for a bit then open it up! WOW this thing gets stupid! I bet at least 45mph! might also be due to the fact that there is a larger carb on it no air filter and no baffle in the exhaust right?

Like I said Alan, they're highly sought after because they're like the 1986 200x. "technically a one year bike" There maybe an 87 or two floating around but its almost assured that very few are left out there in nice shape.

im starting to get a bit aggrivated about that louis... I dont really like a machine that I cant get anything for, wich really is the plastic, all the other stuff is still avail, and I just ordered the right carb for it.

well contrary to what I said earlier all the stock 125m air box parts WILL fit on there with a 200s carb, so anyone wants a bit of a performance increas can go this rought with the 86-87 125m. This is only temp as I shoulld have the correct carb for it later this week.

here are a few pics of it, and the weird reverse/rear brake lever...is it on the rihgt side (left)??

well I ordered a bunch of little crap for this thing, front&rear brake shoes, uni filter, another carb off a trx, im going to take all the wheels off of it tomorow, got some decent tires going on it plus im going to paint some parts when I do all those gas tanks, im thinking the wheels the fork and some mis parts as well, at least make it somewhat presentable. Really after that it just needs some plastics to make it nicer, to bad I cant find any, maybe something will turn up soon.

What other differences do the 86 and 87 125's have from the 84 and 85's other than the motor?

SYKO
05-13-2008, 09:37 PM
edit: my bad, retarded..... they are 2 differnt machines pretty much, I had a 85 125m for awhile, and this 86 is a bit bigger, alot faster, and it dosnt have the high/low tranny as the 85 model did

thanx man! Im actually really happy with it, Huffa turned me onto a part search engine, and I though no one would have anything well I got a few repsons's one is getting the pics to me for all the plastic he says looks almost new! for a great price... Today I took the wheels off so I could paint them and freshin them up with some nicer tires, also i cut up a old trx125 muffler to fix the stock muffler in this 125m (needed baffle) and now its nice and quite and still all oem lol!

05-14-2008, 09:46 PM
I dont know how much of it would be useful to you but there's a rough 86 on the raleigh craigslist for 285.00 OBO. The plastics aren't there but he claims it runs/rides and i may not be too far away from you if it can donate some good pieces...

SYKO
05-14-2008, 10:40 PM
thats far enough away for me not to worry about it, there isnt to much more that im requiring for this to be a nice rider. I got a few leads right now on some parts right now, and I plan on painting a few parts for it so it will look a bit better soon enough.

SYKO
05-15-2008, 09:33 PM
well a good carb came in the mail today along with a uni filter and new brake pads, I cleaned the carb up nice installed it and got it running again, runs alot better, put some ghetto wheels and tires on that arnt flat so I can ride it. Now I can tell how bad the clutch is slippin, got the adjuster loose and turned it tighter to the stops, still slips alittle bit, so it wont be long that I have to change that clutch, but BUT I still have to change the oil and filter so that may help it a bit as well. Also since I got a decent set of wheels on the rear I can finaly see how bad the front is screwed up, the forks are WAY bent and the front wheel is bent as well, so all that will have to be changed to get it traking straight again, still otherwise I still like this little turd!

Hehe, looks mean!

IT IS MEAN! it almost took my hand off last night! BAD TRIKE!

ok any way, this is one of the few trikes that I have lights on, there is a battery and its DEAD, so here is my little problem, when idling sometimes, the neutral light will only be on if the lights are on..... second, when riding with the lights on, you can ride for a bit then the light will get real dim, and high beam wont work then you can rev it a bit and the light will go back to bright again. Could all this be caused by the old dead battery? (im sure this battery is from 1986 as well?)

Just an FYI, that 125M was made from 86-87 with the vertical cylinder design. Looks like yours is an 86 from the tank. Cool wheeler. Fun to beat on. Check out the site dratv.com, they might have some parts for that piece. I checked your vids, your clutch sounds like the $50 200S POS that I picked up a few weeks back. I HATE working on the auto-clutches, takes too much damn time! Nice find though dood.
