View Full Version : big problem with my 350x on high RPM

I have a big problem with my 350x.When the motor turn to low rpm it's ok...but when I put this to high rmp...he not turn correctly....the carburator is ok...I have clean each jet....ajusting my valve(intake exausht) but he is not ok....what can I do!!!!when i'm on high rpm it's like a cut-off....but it have no cut-off on 350x

If it's mechanically sound then it's either fuel or ignition. Did ya pull the plug when it did this? Is it wet (NO SPARK) or a lighter color (NO FUEL)??

I've seen electrical stuff cut out at high RPM's. You'll have to check all the connections and may have to OHM out some of the components.....

If any part of the harness has electrical tape/patch on it, remove it anhd look underneath, I've seen many problems within previous repairs

look at the cam it could be worn out mic and and see and the rockers

Clean the petcock valve and check the gas cap vent.

I bet his spark plug wire has a crack somewhere near the frame, at High RMP the spark is shooting to the frame grounding out making it act like I rev limiter..

Just a thought...

Possible, but usually a "leaking" lead wire causes a low to mid rpm miss. Unless it realy bad then it does it through out the entire rpm. His wording isn't very clear but im betting its a 1/2 to full throttle bog
