85 250sx vs. 86 250sx?

Any diffrence motor wise between the 85 and 86? I thought I read somewhere that the 85 250 motor had a problem with snapping the crankshaft and in the 86 Honda repaired the problem and its a bit diffrent.

Early 85's had a problem because the CDI let them rev too high. They got an X or something to denote if they were fixed. I honestly don't even talk about the SX too much anymore and have forgotten quite a bit. But, I believe some starter gears got changed or something.

Best benefit is the much more watertight rear end and I like the 86/87 colors and decals better also...........
