Carburetor Rebuild Kit

Do I need a Carb Rebuild Kit before dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding it or will the old parts do.

Its for a yamaha ytm 225dr

Personlly I would use the kit or at least a new float needle I rebuild carbs all day long
and pretty lucky with bowl gaskets but I would do a leak test before re install If you want it done right get a kit and if you remove the fuel air screw cout how many turns
to lightly seat it before removal so you get back in at the right setting I usually just dont even bother with the fuel air screw and leave it in but that only helps if no one has messed with it previously.
