View Full Version : Fatboy 2 spark arrestor?

hey guys are there any spark arrestors that'd fit on a fatboy 2 for an 85-86 R? it is the round style that i have. i found some cobras online for like $35 but i dont know what models are round like the fatboy silencers.

As far as I know, there are only two spark arrestor bolt styles available. Round and Oval. They are universal. However, if you can not find one, I would use a piece of metal screen and put it inside the cap. That is all a spark arrestor is.

Hey kev, if this is for SL you want something on there or they will poke right through it.

I modded a DG arrestor to my FMF can. I can ship it to ya if i get it back lol

yea josh, thats what i heard. like i said though i found some cobras for like $35 plus $10 shipping i just dont know what will fit

i just put a caliper on my silencer and it's 2.99 inches :eek: thats huge isnt it?

that one he says is an oval ( i think the pic is wrong). i did find that i need a cobra part number 9196

They stock them at the store just outside the dunes, last time I was up there I found 4 of them laying on the dunes. If you have to get your flag, might as well get a sparky to. When you headed up there?

im going up on the 10th (next saturday) with jeswinehart, t3 lopez, tecate-z and im sure a few other guys on trikes. i will probably have to buy 1-2 flags for me and the old lady but i really didnt want to spend $75 on a sparky if i could find one cheaper.
