Do I need a Carburetor Rebuild Kit?

Hi,

Is it necessary to have a carb rebuild kit or can it be dismantled, cleaned and reassembled with the old parts.

It belongs to a yamaha ytm 225DR

Yes, alot of us have taken our carbs apart to clean the gunk out of them.
I would recommend to not remove the gasket/o-ring that is between the bottom half and upper half. They can be a bugger to get to lay back in flat.
Pay particular attention to cleaning the float seat valve and its seating area.
If that has some crud in there it will leak gas out the over flow when not running.
