Anybody know where I can find nice replica decals for these old trikes? I need to restore a few tanks and I bought a complete set for a 250es from the seller on Ebay from Jersey. They are terrible! I need someone that prints on vinyl not this crap! Look at your decals on your trike. One piece that is printed. These are colored vinyl that is cut and put together and then topped with a clear film. These would be fine if I were rattle can painting my trike but seriously what a waste of money! The warning decals are distorted and very bad copies and I do mean copies. I could photoshop better replicas.
So two things. One, do not buy from this seller - if you are on this board to bad you should be ashamed of this product! Two, where can I find nice decals? Thanks!

i'm not happy to hear that these decals are crap. i bought a kit for my 200e from that company. i hav'nt applied any of them yet though. wish i new. plus after purchasing from them once, i asked for a few specific decals and they said they could not seperate, i had to buy a whole kit. i ended up finding someone who was glad to oblige, a good thing after all i guess

I have found it very difficult to find tank and side cover decals for a 87 Big Red 250es. 85's are everywhere and a few 86's, but 87 is next to impossible. :(

Harlan has everything you need for your honda trike. He has the complete repro of 87 big red, as I gave him some from my 87, that he didnt have.
Harlan's email is Harlan Lysne hjlysne@charter.net and just tell him you are a member from 3 wheeler.org/3wheelerworld.com.
Here is my 87 big red

I tried to take some photos but them didn't come out that good. The problem is, that to recreate the metallic color of the logo, he has to use a cut vinyl layer on top of the printed portion of the decal (words Honda, and red background) but not only does this raise the decal in spots and it becomes rippled in effect, but the top clear vinyl layer he puts on to keep it all together and protected has a bunch of air bubbles like you would find if you taped a couple of pages or something together. It does not stick along the seams. In his auction it says they are removable unless you clear coat them on. I can't even imagine what this would look like after applied and the clear coated. The clear coat would most likely chip off rather quickly since the air bubbles are not a good hard surface.
But he has the remember and warning decals too that are all one piece and printed on vinyl. By themselves they might look OK but hold it up next to an original and the black is off and looking grayish, the lettering looks like a copy from a 10 cent machine from the pharmacy. The colors bleed and the image doesn't have any sharp edges to it at all. Just terrible.
I spent a total of about $50-$60 and I can assure you they will not be making it onto my bike. I emailed him telling him about my disappointment and heard nothing back. That was weeks ago. So my only other recourse is to leave negative and tell everyone here about the poor quality.
I am going to try a small cheap decal from this other place and see what it looks like first before I commit to large cash.
