front dune tire really nessasary???

i am heading to silver lake soon and i am going to buy rear paddles,of coarse,but do i really need a front dune specific tire????

FOR AN OCATIONAL TRIP HERE AND THERE ,,,,, NO ,, but if you ride all the time yes,,,, they just help to keep from sandblasting the underside of your machine cause they don't throw as much sand in the turns,,,
