I have a pair of 86 front forks for my Tri-Z and they prolly need re-built before I put them on. I saw a set of these:

What do you guys think of these springs? What kind of change can I expect in handling? Pros and cons? Basically share your thoughts and ideas on these.

Also if anyone would be so kind, what else will be needed for a re-build such as seals (brand or part numbers) and what kind of fork oil should I use?

found these:

probley the single best thing you could do too the front shocks on a Z . you can expect a stiffer front end..use 15wt PJ1 or belray oil at stock level

fork seals..I say there pretty mutch all the same ..but some will say diffrent

Yep:

Just a smaller diameter I beleive

So from the way it looks, they get slightly stiffer the more they are compressed?

Im rollin progressives on my 85. I like the way they handle. Great off the small jumps (dont bottom out) and great in the trails when you need more stability.

the 85's springs are the same as the KTX250,83-84 250R,85-86 350X
and the 86 springs are the same as the 85-86250R:D

Is it listed in the tri-z parts interchangeability thread?

I beleive in the Dennis Kirk catalog, it lists the different Tri-Z's with the different part numbers, else I knew that because I've put Progressive front springs in both of my 350X's and it had a compatibility sheet in it.

I have front and rear springs on my 82 250R. I also have a Progressive rear spring for a 83R that has never been mounted. Won't fit the 82R shock... and probably wont fit the 350X either. It's got the grey marble looking paint from Progressive. I love the front springs, but the rear one on my 82R is pretty stiff.
