well, i have had my 110 for like 6 years now and finally 2 nights ago i rode it, after several bouts of using old used parts to try and get it running i finally did it right and rebuilt a motor... from my old used parts.... runs awesome though

I was riding though and got about 2 blocks from my house when i lost high range - put it into low and it champs right along - i have nothing in high range- i haven't taken the box apart yet to see if i can figure out what is wrong. any suggestions though?

also I'm leaking a lot of oil around the sprocket somewhere, and I frankensteined it together i am wondering if some of the side covers different? possible it's the oil seal at the drive shaft as well, it doesn't leak when its not running....

once i finish putting it all back together i will put up some new pictures, very exciting

Try switching/rocking the range selector back and forth and see if it will go back in high. Not sure about the oil leak, you might have to tear it back down.

The oil might be from the chain at some time coming off and cracking the case right by the sprocket. Mine did that with in the first 5 days of having it. if you do take it apart i would invest in a case saver and put it there. Just a thought.

my first 110 did the same thing no high only low and when i took the cover off the high range gear was in about 10 pieces:(

well i tore it apart again last night, the stupid case gasket was the wrong one right below the sprocket there was a 1/2" gap, didn't even notice it didnt line up when i was putting it together, luckily the old gasket came off in one piece, and i was able to use it.

and i am not sure what happened to the hi-range - it's still intact and seems to be working after i put it back together (garage trials) that was at 12:30 last night, when i get off work today i will have a lot of fun I'm sure. Pic's coming later today.
