Here is my Project X ATC70 with the full suspension frame finished. Stock TRX90 carrier, brakes and axle and stock rear shock with a shortened TRX90 swingarm. Front end has Honda ST90 forks.

Looks very nice!!! Great pic's too. One thing though... A round head light... Looks more nostalgic and appropriate for the bike.

It is an old thread, but a sick little 70! I also am curious to know what the triples came from, and how much work is involved to get the front wheel between those forks...?

Im loving that frame, small suspended trikes are the coolest.

The triples are made up using standard 70 fork parts and steel tube.
I cut the bottom plate and stem from the 70 forks and welded on steel tube bent up 2" at the ends to the 70 plate. I then welded slotted tube with 27mm bore horizontally to the ends. This will allow the use of Honda ST90 forks. The bent design lets the forks get full travel without the front sitting too high like straight bottom triple tend to do. The top of the fork leg will travel past the centre line of the bottom clamp with this design and not smash into the bottom of the clamp.
The top triple is tube and horizontal clamps welded to the standard 70 top fork plate.
The axle is made up of two standard 70 axles welded together ( properly done of course)

Any progress on this sweet little build ?
I'd love to build an ATC 70 some day to ride side by side with my 6yr. old on his TRX 90. Heck my wife rides the 90 sometimes with my 4yr. old daughter. A timeless ATC for sure!

This suspended 70 been done for years.
I will be finishing the new CRF230F conversion this week. Got it running last week but was not happy with the cam chain and the new one turned up today. I've got a feeling the CRF's stretch cam chains quicker than 200x's because the CRF's have constant tension on the adjuster. The CRF I converted only had a couple thousand miles on it and the cam chain is stuffed.127303
