Hi, Does anyone know if the seat pan is metal or plastic?

To answer your question i have a 1982 and my seat pan is metal and its rusted pretty good. The good news is if u can get a hold of a metal pan thats rust but still in 1 piece, you can make 1 out of plastic. U need 1/8 inch plastic cut out the pattern of the metal seat make the palstic an 1/2 inch larger than the metal pan, i place mine in the oven at 150 degreees and kept an eye on it. Once the plastic starts to get soft it will take the form of the metal pan once this takes place reove mateal pan and plastic from the oven and let cool down,( AND NO ITS DOES NOT STINK). u CAN USE A TIGER TORCE PUT I FIND THE OVEN THE BEST HEATS THE WHOLE PAN AND PLASTIC EVENLY.
