Tri-z Throttle Cable

I have a 85 Tri-z and just bought a 86 cable from ebay since I thought you could interchange them. The old throttle cable on my bike slides into the thumb lever housing where the new cable is threaded on that end. My question is, does the 86 Tri-z have a threaded end where the cable goes into the thumb lever housing or did they send me the wrong cable?

I would suggest a TRX250R thumb throttle. That way when you want to upgrade your carb you have a big enough thumber to pull it. Banshee thumber will work as well.

you can tap the 85 throttle ..too accept the screw type cables..or find another throttle..
