Hi Guys, Just hoping to get some heads-up information before I tear this engine down. I bought a 85 Tri-Z 250 @ a price no sane man could refuse about a year ago. I've just had it sitting around my shop staying clean (way too many projects). The man I bought it from said it "stopped shifting" and he ended up letting it sit, but was a strong runner up until the shifter issue. The Shifter functions and feels as if it isn't connected to anything and it stays in whatever gear it is in. What could've broken in the shifer linkage? Common Issue with these Tri-Z's?

Thanks for your time, everyone.
