like it sais is there any way to get the gold "stuff" (i know what its called but have no clue how to spell it lol) off a honda rim other then bead blasting it? it dont need it to be polished, just not gold. need it to look like a x rim lol

easy off oven cleaner is slow but it will work
iv used acid in the past but i also lost a finger tip doing it this way......lol

Hmm i dont want to looe a finger tip lol. i take it you just spray on the cleaner and let it sit then like steel wool it off?
how about like kemi-striper or something to that affect?

Man, I go out of my way to find gold wheels for older projects. I'm surprised someone wouldn't trade you for some plain wheels.

Based on EVANDS recent posts :D He WAS looking for a 350X rim. Some how he ended up with an 85/86 250R rim................

Oven Easy Off.... 4 times with steel wool or Scotch Bright Pad's ...
WHY Would You want THAT "OLD" UGLY Gold color? .. :D

hahaha you hit the nail on the head dirt crasher. cant find x rim and hub set up anywere, everyone keeps telling me they have 350x rims and there all 200x rims....
i take it you dont like the "old gold" either ronnie? lol:beer

hmm are you painting the wheel? can it just be roughed up with sandpaper and painted?
i am obviously missing something here.

tryin to avoid painting it, just want a plane "silver" rim like the 350x's
