i know someone that had a bent 200x axle, and they heated it up and had it pressed and it came out straight. idk maybe this helps?

it can easily be straightened out in a press... 1/4" is nothing..

My X had a bent axle, I just replaced it, because I was told by others that when you straighten them, they get weak, one hard jump they could snap, just my .02

What ever you do don't heat it up . Just straighten it in a press, you can put it in a lathe and check it with a dial indicator .

Yes dont heat it up, that would weaken it. It sounds stupid but when my axle was bent I didnt have access to a press so I put a couple small washers on 2 of the wheel studs to counter the wobbling, suprisingly it actually worked.
