Hey, i got a 250sx and I'll admit it I kina beat on it during the winter on some snow rides. I'd rev. her up and drop her into 1st/2nd to get the tires to spin out.

dumb idea, yah i know...you guys dont gota tell me, lol.

but now 1st/2nd grind wen I ride, it really doesn't sound to good...

the bike shifts find, but wen I take off u can really feel/hear the grinding...sounds like a nasty crunch...

any1 kno how i can fix this problem, i really dont want to ride it any more until this problem is fixed.

thx,

LOL.. I wont lecture you on how dumb your actions were. I'm sure lots of other folks around here willing to do that. lol

you probably messed up your tranny gears or the shifting forks or your rear end.. Which is no easy or quick fix. Gonna have to yank the motor and split the cases to inspect the tranny.

Is there metal shavings in your oil when you drain it?

Unless you are REAL mechanically incline, I suggest you don't try to take it apart. I cannot think of another motor that has more moving parts in it than the 250SX and if one thing is off, it won't work right.

Worse thing anyone can do to an auto motor is to rev it up and dump the shift lever.

Unlike a regular clutch that your dumping when the motor is fully in gear with the clutch pulled in, the 250SX is not yet fully engaged in a given gear UNTIL you let go of the shift lever. Thats why it ruins tranny parts.
