I know I've seen people do it before. They used a mixture of water and alcohol, sprayed down the plastic and that allowed them to adjust the sticker and get the bubbles out.

It just had to have time to dry out, that was all.

Any of you guys apply decals that way and what is the mix?

I thought it was a few drops of alcohol in a 10oz spray bottle filled with water.

I can look it up elsewhere but I wondered what worked for you guys as it can help us all :beer

Thanks :D

I can't say about todays stickers but we used to use soapy water on the surface them squeege them down. Wait 2 hrs and go.

I do that with graphic sticker sets ..and then squeegee out the water with a plastic card or a plastic puddy knife ... and a heat gun helps too.. same way as window tinting..it takes a little time to get the bubbles out ..

heres creatures I did

I haven't done it yet, but from what I hear Dry app. works faster.
Not sure of the of the mixture, but more water than alcohol.
Spray you sticker or substraight. Them put it on where you want it.
Then with pressure squeegee out the water. Then if your sticker has
transfer tape on it. Spray it Let it sit till it starts to wrinkle. Then at a 45 deg. angle pull it off. You want to pull it over it's self to help in not pully up the sticker.
Check youtube for vinyl graphics. They have a few vids on this.

You could also just us a piece of tape. Stick it where you want it. Then put another piece on the end or the top or bottom. You want to make a hinge. Then pull the backing off. Starting from the tape rub the decal on.

I have never heard of the water-alcohol mixture but the soap and water mixture is what I use. It works very well with a good decal squeegee and like Raffa said a little heat from a heat gun. The best thing is practice. The more you do the better you get.

use windex. stays wet, but the sticker will still stick to the window somewhat, then use a credit card to squeeze the water out. your good to go as soon as you run the card across it a few times.
