last week i bought a 1984 - 200S - this bike has less than "10" miles on it - Showroom condition - true story - anyway it starts up & runs great but if it sets a couple of days & then you start it - it blows smoke for about 2 minutes then clears up - i guess after setting for 20 plus years something has dried up? Do you think this will heal itself or should i consider having it fixed - thanks - slip

Put some hours on the machine and see if it clears up. It must have been stored somewhere inside/heated. I dont know if valve seals would crack over the years of sitting but that could be your problem. Put some hours on the bike and if the problem persists check your valve seals. Also what color is the smoke. dust and junk could have gotten in the exhaust and its just burning it out but I doubt it. Sounds like valve seals too me

Those tires look way over inflated. I think the valve guide seals have dried up on you and maybe cracked. Nice trike though.

i'm also thinking valve seals - nice blue smoke - the kids ran it for about 4 hours when we first got it - no smoke - it set for a couple of days & when i fired it up it smoke like a freight train - but like i say it clears up in a few minutes - i don't think this will hurt anything do you? slip
